Presentación: The Intersection of Language and the Law

Join us to hear from court interpreter Mary Aponte as she speaks about the importance of language in practicing law.

Ms. Mary Aponte is currently a State Certified staff interpreter at the Tenth Judicial Circuit court in Bartow, Florida. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Latin American Studies from the University of New Mexico. She began her pursuit of a career in court interpreting in 1996 with a Professional Certificate in Legal Interpretation and Translation from the University of California.
